Regarding the espionage issue regarding her Cabinet, President Siljanovska Davkova said on Thursday provisions of the Law on Criminal Procedure had to be respected both in terms of the presumption of innocence and in terms of data collection and the potential opening of criminal proceedings.
“I never interpret the actions of other organs, I respect the separation of powers”, she pointed out, adding that she was confused by the responses from the Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption regarding the issue of non-cooperation with the Interior Ministry.
Asked about SDSM’s criticism of her stands on the EU presented during the Slovenia visit, the President refuted it, saying she always defended national interests.
