Regarding the case the public has dubbed “Wolf or Dog”, the Food and Veterinary Agency has confirmed the animal that created panic in the settlement of Kozle in Skopje on Tuesday is indeed a wolf. It still remains unknown how a chained wolf, which was probably kept as a pet in a domestic environment, ended up on Kozle’s streets.
Skopje Zoo Spokesperson Tina Mickovska said on Wednesday that anxious citizens had called her to say that the animal had appeared in front of her building. Shortly after that, the wolf was captured.
In the coming period, the wolf will undergo special treatment at the Zoo and will be in quarantine for at least 21 days. After the quarantine period ends, it will be given a habitat and will continue its life at the Zoo.
