The Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigative procedure against the 44-year-old Skopje man suspected of the June 15 arson attack on Bulgarian Embassy vehicles in Centar Municipality. Specifically, he’s suspected of causing general danger, according to the Criminal Code.
The suspect’s actions created a danger to the safety of citizens and to larger-scale property, the Office explains. A detention measure proposal has been filed.
Over the matter, North Macedonia’s CDA in Sofia, Agneza Rusi Popovska, was summoned to the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday. The incident was condemned on social media also by the French Embassy in Skopje.
