35 Years of Independence: Spanish Tenor Carreras to Perform in Skopje

September 1 will see a concert held at the central square in Skopje on the occasion of 35 years of independence featuring Spanish tenor Jose Carreras.

There will be performances also by, as Avalon’s Boban Milosheski said on Wednesday, “Macedonia All-Stars”: singers Karolina Gocheva and Kaliopi, folk singers Naum Petreski and Suzana Spasovska, opera singers Igor and Ana Durlovski, and guitar player Vlatko Stefanovski. Singer Vlado Janevski and pianist Simon Trpcheski, too, were invited, but, according to Avalon, they will not be in the country in that period.

The Government still hasn’t disclosed the financial structure for the entire celebration of the 35^th anniversary of independence.
