Water from the city water supply in Valandovo is temporarily unsafe for drinking because laboratory analyses conducted by the Skopje Institute of Public Health have revealed elevated levels of arsenic.
The Valandovo Komunalen Servis (Utility Service) Public Enterprise (PE) says that based on the test results, citizens are advised to refrain from using water from the city supply for drinking until further notice. The water can be used strictly as technical water.
The PE points out that all necessary measures are actively being taken to resolve the issue, as well as that additional water quality analyses and checks are being conducted in coordination with relevant institutions.
