Before a meeting with French President Macron in Paris, regarding the North Macedonia constitutional changes issue, Bulgarian PM Radev stated that he’d raised that as early as 2021 (when he served as Bulgaria’s President).
“It took me a year to convince European leaders why this needed to be done”, he noted.
According to Radev, it’s an honor for President Macron that he was the first to recognize the feasibility of the idea, “and through our joint efforts, it was included” in the Negotiating Framework in July 2022.
“I believe that at today’s meeting, we will secure France’s support to implement this consensus in full”, the Bulgarian PM noted.
