On Tuesday, PM Mickoski responded to the announcements made by SDSM and its leader, Filipche, regarding a bill on fighting corruption. As he stated, the initiative is coming from structures that, in the past, passed legal changes allowing the expiration of statute of limitations regarding court cases.
Regarding the opposition’s allegations of political pressure, Mickoski stated that there was compliance with legal procedures in the country and that political actors had no reason to fear.
Regarding the cabinet reshuffle process, he said there would be talks with coalition partners in the second half of June to discuss the way forward. He believes there will be a format in place then. Mickoski is currently focused, as he said, on internal changes within his party, VMRO-DPMNE.
