The newly-appointed Ambassadors to the U.K., Ilina Mangova, Australia, Stojanche Kitanoski, and the Netherlands, Linda Salioska Iljazoska, passed the Parliamentary filter on Monday, moving closer to starting their respective diplomatic missions.
Mangova is becoming the Ambassador during a period of political turbulence in the U.K., following the resignation of PM Starmer, who has been succeeded by Burnham, but also amid intensified diplomatic relations with North Macedonia through the G2G.
When it comes to the Netherlands, while regarded as a supporter of EU enlargement, it maintains a critical stance toward internal reform processes. Salioska Iljazoska sees strong potential for economic cooperation in green transition, agritech, and ICT.
Kitanoski will focus on the diaspora, which consists of nearly 200,000 Macedonians in Australia. Mangova is coming from IRI North Macedonia’s leadership, while Salioska Iljazoska and Kitanoski are part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade’s professional team.
