On Thursday, PM Mickoski once again called on the opposition to align its positions on the Electoral Code, reiterating that the ruling coalition remained open to consensus and would accept all of their demands, with the diaspora being able to vote being the sole condition of his party, VMRO-DPMNE.

According to the PM, it is necessary to ease the voting process for expatriates, especially those in overseas countries who, as he said, have to fly for 10 hours just to exercise their right to vote.

SDSM had previously rejected the ruling structure’s call for agreements among opposition parties, stating that it was a problem for the Government. Levica, on the other hand, reacted to what it said were attempts by VMRO-DPMNE to portray itself as a protector of the diaspora.
