On Monday, ethnic Albanian students staged the protest demanding that they be allowed to take the Bar Exam in their mother tongue. Protesters were gathering in front of Stone Bridge for almost an hour.

After others had arrived by bus from Tetovo and Struga, while, according to information, students from Pristina and Albania also came, they headed towards the Ministry of Justice.

The protest saw chants of UCK” (“KLA”), as well as Albanian, American, and EU flags, without state symbols. The speeches in front of the Ministry of Justice were delivered only in the Albanian language.

VLEN held a press conference after the protest, criticizing the presence of DUI MPs Musa Xhaferi and Blerim Bexhiti, saying the two, as former Governmental officials, were the main culprits why the Bar Exam process was not organized in the Albanian language.

However, Ahmeti’s party denied that the protest was partisan, stating instead that its members had answered the students’ calls and supported them. During the protest, three citizens were detained for violation of public order and peace.
